Fiji Surf Pro 2026

Cloud Break offers ideal conditions. Jaeger Stone is injured.

Update 1 - June 10, 2026 With the Fiji Surf Pro, the WWT is currently hosting a four-star World Cup as part of its joint wave tour with the PWA. In this context, four stars means that the rankings are included in the tour’s overall standings with a deduction compared to 5-star World Cups. This ranking depends on the prize money that is distributed.

Cloudbreak is a real powerhouse of a spot. The wave breaks over a flat reef and, as one of the best breaks in the world, packs a serious punch. Jaeger Stone felt that power firsthand. He injured himself during a botched landing after a massive aerial. The on-site diagnosis suggested a possible broken bone. Jaeger was taken to the hospital by speedboat. Despite his injury, Jaeger’s performance was enough to win the heat and advance directly to the semifinals.

How the competition works: Heat Order
This brings us to the current status of the competition. While the four women competing will race in three final heats with all participants in each, the men’s competition will follow the usual elimination format.

After two qualifying heats, the main field started round three with four heats of four riders each. The top four finishers advanced directly to the semifinals. The remaining four spots in the semis will be determined through two losers’ rounds. This clever setup avoids a tedious double-elimination format while still giving the losers a chance to make up for a slip-up.

In addition to Jaeger Stone, who was eliminated, Bernd Roediger, Baptiste Cloarec, and Antoine Martin also advanced to the semifinals.

The first of the two losers’ rounds has already been held. Julian Salmonn was the only German competitor in his heat, finishing second behind Camille Juban. Julian now has the opportunity to advance to the semifinals in the next heat against Morgan Noireaux, Russ Faurot, and Takara Ishii. To do so, he would need to finish at least second in that heat.

In the women's competition, two of the three heats have been completed so far. Veteran Jane Seman of Australia won both heats. Her compatriot Sarah Kenyon and Maria Andres of Spain each finished with one second-place and one third-place finish.

In Fiji, there is now one women's heat and five men's heats remaining. The final results should be determined by Thursday.
