IFCA Slalom World Championship 2026

World Championship titles awarded in Fin Slalom and Foil Slalom

At the Mondial du Vent in Leucate, France, the titles in foil slalom and fin slalom were awarded as part of the IFCA World Championships. Against the backdrop of the snow-capped peaks of the Pyrenees, the riders—previously known primarily from PWA races—competed for the IFCA titles.

In the foil slalom, it was 2025 PWA runner-up Pierre Mortefon from France who snatched the victory from reigning PWA world champion Matteo Iachino of Italy over four heats. The Dutchman Jordy Vonk secured third place. Fabian Wolf was the top German finisher, landing in 15th place. Close behind him was Nico Prien in 16th place.

In the women’s standings, it was once again Justine Lemeteyer who crossed the finish line ahead of Marion Mortefon and Mae Davico. Thanks to a bit of luck, the podium was firmly in French hands. The up-and-coming German Alisa Engelmann tied with Mae Davico for fourth place. Hidden deep within the regulations are rules that still determine the ranking in the event of a tie.
