Gunsails Re-Torro and Re-Seal

Gunsails Re-Torro and Re-Seal

Sails made from a high proportion of recycled material

Gunsails offers two sails made with a high proportion of recycled material. The plastic film used in the sail is made from 100 per cent recycled PET bottles. These versions are available alongside the standard versions and are priced the same. Their durability is said to be on a par with that of sails without any recycled content.

The recycled sails can be identified at Gunsails by the prefix ‘Re-’. Currently, the all-rounder Torro and the wave sail Seal are available as the Re-Seal and Re-Torro respectively in the 2026 range. The Seal is a wave sail with four battens. The Torro is a freemove sail with five battens, designed for bump-and-jump conditions and small waves. The larger Torro models are more freeride-oriented.
