“The Wind in Her Hands” is a documentary about Swiss iQFOil surfer Elena Šandera. The film follows Elena, who has only three years of foil surfing experience, as she attempts to qualify for the Olympic Games.

The 80-minute documentary is not only about windsurfing, but also about the young athlete’s struggle to come to terms with severe abuse. The film won an award at the Snowdance Independent Film Festival in 2026.

The next screening will take place on May 7, 2026, at 6:00 PM at Hansa48 in Kiel. The film is available to stream on Amazon Prime.
