PWA Slalom World Cup Bonaire 2026

Interim Results of the Youth World Cup on the Caribbean Island of Bonaire

The Caribbean island of Bonaire is hosting a PWA Youth World Cup from June 24 to 28. Many of the participating youth have traveled from the region to compete in the World Cup. The PWA’s youth competitions are primarily designed to give local talent the opportunity to gain World Cup experience.

Mario Boekstegers (GER-711) has traveled all the way from Germany to compete in the Finn and Foil classes. Although Austrian Gaspar Cascon Schwarzenlander (AUT-43) is registered, he has not yet participated in any races.

So far, eleven races have been held in the Finn slalom, and five races have taken place in the Foil class on the turquoise sea.

In the women’s competition, the three de Jong sisters—Bobi-Lynn, Kit, and Lone—are battling it out on the foil in that order. In fin slalom, there is only an U-17 category. Bobbi-Lynn is not competing there. Kimora Dammers is in third place behind Kit and Lone.

The men’s standings feature a larger field of competitors overall. For example, there are nine competitors in the “U21 Boys Fin” category. In the U-21 class on the foil, five competitors are competing. Mario Boekstegers is currently in fourth place in both the Fin and Foil slalom events. Tycho Smits leads the U-21 age group in the Fin slalom. Diederik Leemans leads this age group in the Foil event
