Goya has updated its Waveboards. Some sizes weigh less than 6 kg.

Goya has updated its waveboards. As a result, the names have also changed. The current boards are called Quad 9 Pro Carbon, Thruster 5 Pro Carbon, and One 13 Carbon.

A particularly lightweight version of the Quad 9 and One 13 is sold under the Haiku Package label and comes with a board bag. The construction of the Haiku Package is said to be very closely modeled after the World Cup boards used by Marcilio Browne and his teammates.

Quad 9 Pro Carbon and Quad 9 Pro Carbon Haiku Package
The Quad 9 Pro Carbon is available in 10 sizes ranging from 56 to 116 liters in volume. According to the manufacturer, the weight has been optimized and the turning characteristics improved compared to the previous model.

The Haiku Package is available in five sizes ranging from 84 to 116 liters in volume. The weight of this version ranges from 5.4 kg to 6.5 kg.

Thruster 5 Pro Carbon
The Thruster 5 is slightly longer and wider than the Custom Quad 9, features a faster wave rocker, and has a V-shaped hull. The board performs best in side-shore to onshore wind conditions. The Thruster 5 is available in five sizes ranging from 81 to 106 liters in volume. This board is not available in a Haiku version.

The Quad 9 Pro Carbon Haiku Package and One Pro Carbon Haiku Package models include a board bag and are lighter than the Pro Carbon models.

One Pro Carbon and One Pro Carbon Haiku Package
The One 13 Freewave board enters the new season with the same shape. According to the manufacturer, however, the weight has been reduced for both versions. The particularly lightweight Haiku version weighs between 6.1 kg for the 95-liter board and 6.8 kg for the 125-liter board. The Pro Carbon version is available in two additional sizes with 78- and 85-liters.
