Wissant Wave Classic 2026

WWT/PWA 4-Star event from September 12 to 20 on the English Channel

Wissant is one of the top wave spots on the English Channel, and this coming weekend the Wissant Wave Classic kicks off there. This year, for the first time, the wave contest will be held as a 4-star event on the WWT/PWA World Tour, so there are plenty of points up for grabs here.

This is also drawing the two leaders of the world rankings: Philip Köster and Marc Paré are tied for first place with 22,400 points and aim to build up a points cushion at this tour stop in France.

In addition to Philip Köster, several other pro riders are already listed on the current roster of registered competitors: Morgan Noireaux, Arthur Arutkin, Jules Denel and Nicolas Akgazciyan. Marc Paré is not yet listed, but according to the organizers, he is expected to compete.

The women's field also features well-known names from the World Tour, such as Sol Degrieck, Marine Hunter and Lisa Wermeister. French champion Alice Arutkin will also be competing.
