Racer of the Sea Kellenhusen 2026
Giedrius Liutkus wins every race
Last weekend, a combined event for windsurfers and wing foilers took place in Kellenhusen, Germany, with a total of 40 participants. The motto was “A Regatta for Everyone,” and despite a less-than-ideal wind forecast, 17 participants - including six teenagers - had registered for the “Racer of the Sea” competition.
The wind certainly didn't make things easy for the race crew, but in the end, they were still able to complete three races with foils on Saturday.
Giedrius Liutkus won all three races and secured the overall victory without any trouble. Behind him, the competition was tight: Til Klöpping secured second place in the overall standings and was also the top U19 rider. With just a one-point difference, Pelle Behrendt finished third overall. Felix Rhode and Linus Klöpping rounded out the U19 podium.
On Sunday, the wind didn't pick up. Despite several attempts to start, no further race took place, so the previous day's results remained unchanged.
Two more events in the series will take place this year in Germany: the One Hour Edition at Wittensee is scheduled for September 12–13, and one week later, on September 19–20, the Racer of the Sea event will kick off in Flensburg.
