The results for the various age groups

The Wave Events in the Canary Islands are far more than just a showdown between the pros. Competitors in various age groups battle it out for victory. This also gets the next generation involved, which works particularly well during the summer holidays.

In total, the age groups competing in Tenerife were Pro Junior Boys/Girls, Junior Boys/Girls, U15 Boys, Masters and Grand Masters. Here are the results in a single report.

Trine Gobisch braved the elements and claimed victory in her age group.

U15 Boys
Here, Spain’s Dennis Kolb Gonzales took the win ahead of Britain’s Mikey Maclean and Belgium’s Jeff Francois.

Masters + Grand Masters
Former professional and PWA commentator Ben Proffitt from England clinched victory ahead of local rider Jochen Stolz and Guillermo Barreiro Melgarejo. Michael Friedl won the Grand Masters category.
