Tiree Wave Classic 2026
Ben Profitt wins the Masters standings. The first round of the professional standings has been held.
14 October 2026 – Further results were announced at the WWT/PWA Wave World Cup in Tiree. PWA commentator Ben Proffitt won the class, which featured 16 British competitors, ahead of his compatriots Scotty McDowall and Ben Horrocks. Sam Fields and Kate Hatcher won the single elimination in the amateur class, which also featured an all-British line-up.
In the professional category, the riders completed their first round. Here, the focus was primarily on the performances of the leading duo, Marc Paré and Philip Köster. Both Köster and Paré won their heats, thereby progressing straight to round three.
In this competition, which is structured as a Dingle elimination, the losers’ round is incorporated into round two. After that, the field is drastically whittled down.
Miguel Chapuis, Marino Gil Gherardi and Dieter van der Eyken also won their heats. Things are set to get really exciting in round five with the semi-finals. That’s when we could see a showdown between the top riders.
In the women’s competition, Frida Miron from Germany won her heat and thus went straight through to the final. Emma Miron finished third in her heat and now has the chance to fight her way through the losers’ bracket to reach the final. Britain’s Izzy Adock put in a surprisingly strong performance. She scored significantly more points than Poland’s Justyna Sniady and thus also qualified for the final.
