FPT Brouwersdam 2026
Victory for Maaike Huvermann and Lennart Neubauer
The FPT freestyle competition at Brouwersdam was decided in a double-elimination format in strong winds. In the men’s event, Lennart Neubauer did not, as usual, go straight through to the final. He was knocked out early in the single-elimination round by Youp Schmit from Bonaire, whilst Yentel Caers won the single-elimination final against Youp.
In the double-elimination round, Lennart seized his opportunity and won eight heats in a row. In the end, he defeated Yentel Caers in the Super Final by 46.67 to 45.67 points.
Once again, Lennart has demonstrated his mental strength and, in this instance, his tremendous stamina. Yentel has once again had to settle for second place. Youp Schmit finished the competition in third place.
In the women’s competition, Maaike Huvermann confirmed her victory in the single-elimination round against Lisa Kloster with a score of 18.5 to 14.8. Živa Batis defeated Bijou Shaminian in the battle for third place.
The competition at Browersdam is not over yet. A ‘Super Session’ featuring an experimental competition format is scheduled for the weekend.
