Water sports fair ‘boot 2027’

A larger hall, a longer action pool

At the Düsseldorf water sports fair ‘boot 2027’, the surfing action is moving from Hall 17 to Hall 12. With a floor area of 12,120 m2, Hall 12 is around 3,822 m2 larger than the hall used in 2026.

The Action Pool in the new hall will be extended by three metres, from 62 to 65 metres. In 2026, this pool hosted an FPT freestyle event and a GWA wingfoil contest. An FPT contest is planned for the second weekend of the event in 2027. An SFT Indoor Pumpfoil World Cup will take place on the first weekend of the event.

However, the move to the larger hall does not mean that surfing will occupy the entire space. The new Hall 12 will also be home to the World of Paddling, which was previously located in Hall 14. There will be a canoe channel winding its way around an artificial island. A high ropes course will also be located in Hall 12.

More space will be allocated in the new hall for visitors to try out the sports. Beginners will have more time slots available across the nine days of the fair to try their hand at pumpfoiling, wakeboarding, stand-up paddling, windsurfing and skimboarding.

The boot will take place from 23 to 31 January 2027.
