Season finale

The California Windsurf Cup will host the season finale from 27 to 30 August in Pelzerhaken (Germany) on the Baltic Sea. It's still open who will be crowned this year's fin slalom champion. Only one result has been achieved so far this season, so the outcome in Pelzerhaken will play a major role. This is particularly true as the current leader in the rankings, Vincent Langer, will not be competing for work reasons.

In the foiling category, Fabian Wolf has already secured the overall victory, although the result from Pelzerhaken will count with an increased weighting factor of 1.25. At this final event, the focus in foiling will be on the remaining places in the standings as well as the event victory.

In the youth category, the “GWA Youth & Junior Championship”, 15-year-old Mika Henning is one of the main favourites. In the current overall annual rankings of the California Windsurf Cup, Henning is in third place as the top U17 junior.

Food stalls will be available on the foreshore of the pier during the event. The grand prize-giving ceremony is scheduled for Sunday at 5.00 pm.
