World Cup Sylt: Fabian Wolf reclaims top spot in the foil slalom.

Westerland, 1 October 2026 – With winds of 9 to 15 knots, two further slalom heats were held at the Citroën Windsurf World Cup on Sylt. Matteo Iachino had started the day with a razor-thin lead. However, the Italian was unable to defend his top position, even though he had not finished lower than second place in any of the first five races and had also won the sixth race.

Fabian Wolf, however, won the seventh race and, naturally, his strategy of dropping his worst results is working for him too. From the seventh race onwards, the two worst results are excluded from the standings. As a result, Wolf found himself back at the top of the standings with a razor-thin lead of 0.3 points.

Amado Vrieswijk is now in third place. Alongside Iachino and Wolf, he is the only rider to have qualified for all the final races.

Nico Prien is currently in 12th place, Lars Poggemann in 30th, Jesse Richter in 32nd and Jonas Neumann in 33rd out of 35 riders.
