WWT/PWA World Cup Teneriffa 2026 - Update 2
The WWT/PWA Wave World Cup, organised as a Dingle Elimination event, has reached the men’s quarter-finals and the women’s semi-finals in the main draw.
4 August 2026 – On Tuesday in Tenerife, the day was spent sailing with plenty of wind in the sails. The wind conditions were reminiscent of good days in Pozo. The competition in the men’s and women’s main fields, organised as a Dingle Elimination, was contested right through to the decisive stage, meaning that the final results for the main fields could be announced on Wednesday.
Men
The quarter-final pairings have been decided in the men’s competition. Seven Spaniards feature among the top 16. The fourth quarter-final will be an all-Spanish clash between Victor Fernández, Liam Dunkerbeck, Marc Paré Rico and Marino Gil Gerardi. We’ll also see Philip Köster and Julian Salmonn back in action in the quarter-finals – fortunately, not in the same heat.
Instead, Julian Salmonn will have to contend with Lennart Neubauer’s jumping power in his quarter-final match. Morgan Noireaux and Arthur Arutkin will also be looking to have their say in this heat.
Philip Köster is up against Jules Denel, Antoine Martin and Carlos Kiefer Quintana in the battle for the two remaining places in the semi-finals.
Anton Richter failed to make it through to the quarter-finals.
Women
In the women’s competition, the line-up for the semi-finals has been confirmed. In Heat One, Maria Behrens, Sol Degrieck, Alexia Kiefer Quintana and Justyna Sniady will face off. In Heat Two, Pauline Katz, Sarah-Quita Offringa, Lina Erpenstein and Marine Hunter will compete for a place in the final. Milanka Linde did not make it through to the semi-finals.
